Motorcycle Insurance

Here at Shannon Jennings Insurance, LLC, we understand the importance of obtaining motorcycle insurance. We are located in Oregon and can provide you with the options you need to make sure you are covered. It is vital that you are aware of what the state requirements are. Penalties and fees can result if you do not have or maintain coverage in the event of an accident or if you were to get pulled over by the police. You can easily avoid these things by selecting the proper coverage for your motorcycle.

Coverage Choices

First off, let's discuss some very important state requirements. This is the minimum coverage that you must at least have in the state of Oregon.

You must at least have bodily injury and property damage liability of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for bodily injury to others. You must also have at least $20,000 per accident of damage to the property of others. As far as uninsured motorist coverage, you must at least maintain coverage of $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for bodily injury. Put simply; it is illegal to drive without having at least liability coverage. There are only a few states that do not require motorcycle insurance.

There are other coverage options you can choose from if you do not want to settle with just liability. You can select one or more of the following:

  • Custom parts and equipment
  • Roadside assistance
  • Liability coverage
  • Medical coverage
  • Uninsured/Underinsured motorist coverage

Uninsured and underinsured coverage will make sure that any expenses resulting from death or injury are paid for that are caused by another driver who was or was not insured.
